Highasakite, The Hoxton

On Tuesday night, Oslovian quintet Highasakite proved their impressive headline potential at a sold-out Hoxton Hall. Bringing their bewitching Norwegian indie-pop to the beautifully renovated 19th century music hall, theyre an atmospheric mix of synths, steel drums, trumpet and e-bow. Surrounded by an intense light show, vocalist Ingrid Helene Håvik and her cohorts employed their multi-instrumental talents to fantastic effect on an eclectic array of material, ranging from dark, impassioned numbers to the upbeat fan favourites "Darth Vader" and "Since Last Wednesday". Serious Kate Bush VIBES. Highasakite's new single, "Someone Who'll Get It" is now available through Propeller Recordings.

Support act, Apothek have just released their debut single ‘Family’. Synthetic symphonies are juxtaposed with classic melodies. Check it.
