I was browsing the internet the other day and came across photographer Karen Rosetzsky. A talented Danish photographer currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. She shoots a lot of lifestyle, fashion and commercial photography, and similarly to me, her passion for photography started at an early age, with a camera given to her by her father.
I love the sense of candidness about her photographs.
Rosetzsky has just released her first book entitiled ‘Young Love’ which features a selection of photographs taken over the course of 3 years in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, New Orleans, Willemstad, Prague, Cape Town and Paris. The photography identifies a story of people and love. An eclectic mix of couples entwined. It is nostalgic, all consuming, raw and emotional. An intensely personal insight into the magical world that is ‘young love’. There is a tenderness to her photography which is quite stunning. Dreamlike. The kind of photographs I strive to capture.
